The line "She's everything. He's just Ken." suggests that this could be a matriarchal society. The pastel colour scheme associates the movie with gender roles but could subvert them as it seems matriarchal. The people on the cover are smiling and this suggests that this could be  a family movie. INDUSTRIES: Barbie is a Warner Bros. Pictures film, starring Margot Robbie & Ryan Gosling, and it grossed $1.448 billion worldwide. It was directed by Greta Gerwig and became the highest-grossing film directed solely by a woman.
